The Buffalo Sabres have acquired Eric Staal from the Minnesota Wild in change for Marcus Johansson.
Staal recorded 19 targets and 47 factors in 66 video games in 2019-20, whereas Johansson notched 9 targets and 30 factors in 60 video games.
Neither workforce will retain wage within the commerce, with each gamers within the closing years of their present contracts.

The 35-year-old centre will instantly determine into the Sabres’ top-six ahead group, and will obtain energy play time on an offense that has largely being propelled by Jack Eichel’s singular heroics.
