George Washington basketball recreation postponed after Capitol chaos

The chaos at the US Capitol on Wednesday afternoon has spilled over into the sports activities world.

George Washington’s males’s basketball recreation in opposition to the College of Massachusetts, scheduled for six p.m. ET Wednesday in Washington D.C., has been postponed, a number of sources instructed Yahoo Sports activities.

A supply instructed Yahoo Sports activities that the reasoning for the sport being off was the 6 p.m. curfew introduced by D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser.

The curfew got here within the wake of supporters of President Donald Trump storming the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday afternoon.

There was no instant phrase if or when the sport between George Washington (3-7) and UMass (2-3) can be rescheduled.
